President Ranil Wickramasinghe and former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake together with the founder of Umandawa, Siri Samantha Bhadra Thero started working together to launch an agricultural revolution in the country to save the country from the so-called famine which political opponents and international conspirators are subconsciously hoping for and ensure food security while making the people self-sufficient.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe, who went on a special observation tour to Umandawa Universal Village with Mr. Ravi Karunanayake, who is playing a big role in building the country's economy remaining behind the screen of the government , on Sunday (02) evening, discussed the matter at length with Siri Samantha Bhadra Thero.
Gifting a new Buddhist statue by Siri Samantha Bhadra Thero to President Ranil Wickremasinghe replacing the statue that was destroyed along with the residence by the fire set by Dulanjali Premadasa, Neomal Perera's son Ivan Perera and Rehan Jayawickrama was a special event took place here.
Political analytics point out that this agricultural revolution will be a severe blow to Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Maithreepala Sirisena and leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna who are dreaming of a famine to take place in the country.
